It's been two weeks since, so I think it's already safe to say that the "exorcism" worked. After doing that post, I've began to regain some focus at work. I've finished doing the cost estimate for the continuation of this work I'm doing (well, it's not really writing but a lot of thinking went into it). I got to finally outline a reworking of the strategic plan. And I got back into the groove of my so-called, BPO-style coordination work. Of course, more writing work beckons, but for now, I just feel relieved that my life has purpose again.
Of course, there are bigger requirements to run after. Got started coordinating for a January 2008 activity that will coincide with the Melbourne Outgames. (There are already AP-Rainbow members in Melbourne who could manage the activity from there, so shucks, I don't think I'd get to go. *bummer*) Fund-raising for a regional LGBTIQ activists' workshop continues, some promising leads but overall still sketchy. On the other side of the fence, a.k.a. TLF work, I'd have to jumpstart writing that presentation for Hyderabad already (I'm going there end of the month). There's always something to catch up on, like my Mom always tells me, "hindi naman talaga natatapos ang trabaho."
But at least, I afforded myself to relax a bit last weekend (which started early on a Friday) - a simple reward after a considerably productive week. I got to do Limewire and bit-torrents again, with heaps of inspiration from Youtube (which I noticed is performing so much better now) and of course my trusty haunts, Q4Music and Digital Dream Door. Some time in the very early hours of Saturday, I realized that I've finally sampled the 100 Britpop list from DDD. It's been almost a year since I've began looking down on this list. Amazing music, I couldn't believe some of those I sampled were produced almost a decade ago. Some of them sounded as if they were current releases. Sufficing to say, I think I'd be able to share something to my friends for the holidays again, just like last year's.
I've started doing some sort of consolidation of my sites as well. I resurrected my Blogspot: even after a failed experiment on "moblogging" with my K810i, I'm still determined to do new posts on Blogger, focused on pics of interest I happen on my travels and short captions. I'm calling it now "Liwaliw: The 'Lakwatsa' Version." (I also tried G-Blogs but it's is a total blech.) I also rehashed my Multiply, am calling it now "Liwaliw: Soundtrip," which will be for music of my interest. As for THIS "Liwaliw," it's still going to be the "mother" of my blogs - it will continue to be the archive of my so-called mindspeak.
I'm also looking at putting up another site for photo essays, but I've yet to decide on which service to use. I have Photobucket now, which I use to host images that accompany my postings. But it's "too mixed" right now; reorganizing it, which includes having to fix broken links in the process, seem to be "too daunting a task."
