Hello, I’m back… well, I’ve been trying to get back into blogging since last December 2007. In fact, I’ve amassed considerable number of textpad files on both my desktop and laptop computers, all unfinished entries, essentially talking about the same thing, trying to get back into blogging.
Since I got back from Nairobi (yes, I went there before December kicked in), things at work flash-flooded in. Some slowing down came just before Christmas - so I still had a respectable Christmas vacation - then manageable pacing came after the first week of January 2008. The TLF SHARE staff had its performance and project assessment in Puerto Galera, and essentially, the whole activity was my call (as Executive Director).
December was somewhat my phasing back into my TLF SHARE post; the AP-Rainbow work was concluding that month. There are still a lot things that need tying up AP-Rainbow side, and a lot more for catching up TLF SHARE side. I’m trying not to feel too stressed about this - sometimes it feels like I’m failing on this, but other times, I successfully convince myself that I’m alright.
Blogging-wise, there are still several things I’m really feeling I want to write about. I initially thought of coming up with the good and not-so-good highlights of my 2007, but I couldn’t come up with the right angle just yet (why am I sooo obsessed with an "angle," I wonder?).
Whatever approach that 2007 highlights blogpost would eventually evolve into, it would definitely have something to say about my trips, thanks to representations I did on behalf of AP-Rainbow and PNAC. But it would also have to say something about the sometimes frustrating work of being essentially a "call center" all my own.
It would definitely have to say something about friends and colleagues moving on, and of course, the gains of new company and renewed connections. I’m not sure yet if I need to say something about strains amongst friendships current (I might lose my very few readership, he he he).
I might want to talk about how I want my blogging "transform" - with a new year a new "character." But I haven’t decided on it yet. Eon started "tagalizing" his posts, making his life’s ruminations a bit more "spontaneous"… then again, what about our foreign (read: States-side) readership?? But really, sometimes writing in English thoroughly (this language being really, really secondary and business-related among Filipinos) constrains the authenticity of - er - feeling (and yes, camp). I admit, sometimes when I write, I feel like I’m composing a theme paper for language class.
Oh well… I’m still fishing for more options to consider…
May bago ka palang post. I was waiting for an email notice. Bakit wala?
Anyway, I had too much on the English language after this convention in UST. I wanted to comment on your last paragraphs. But I am having headaches when it comes to language… lately.
